Albert “Doc” F. Smith, 58, of Lewisburg, entered into rest at 12:50 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019, at home.
He was born July 9, 1960, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Derril R., Sr. and Arlene J. (Heimbach) Smith. On June 10, 1995, at R.B. Winter State Park, he married the former Vicki F. Zechman, who survives.
Albert worked as a truck driver for 14 years and was most recently a bartender at the Mifflinburg American Legion.
He was a member of Mifflinburg American Legion Post 410, Mifflinburg VFW, and the Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 401, Watsontown.
Albert enjoyed riding motorcycles, and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are one son, Christopher Smith of Selinsgrove; one daughter and her fiancé, Jamie Smith and Jeremy Newbury of Northumberland; one step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Heather and Casey Zimmerman of Mifflinburg; one sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Dave Leese of Hummelstown; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Derril Jr. “Butts” and Lisa Smith of Loganton, Allen “Tird” and Tammy Smith of Lewisburg, and Terry “Job” and Denise Smith of Millmont; five grandchildren, Nathan, Zachary, Allison, Macey, and a granddaughter arriving in June; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are welcome from 9:30 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Allen Smith, officiating.
Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg PA 17844 to assist with funeral expenses.
