Anna Getz

Anna Mae Getz, 89, of 100 Lynn St., Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 9:20 p.m., Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

She was born July 27, 1930, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late John and Eleanor (Baker) Swanger. On August 22, 1950, in Mifflinburg, she married John E. Getz, who preceded her in death January 27, 2004.

Surviving are five sons and two daughters-in-law, Dennis and Kathy Getz of Martinsburg, Lee Getz of Mifflinburg, Todd and Pamela Getz of Watsontown, Kelly Getz of Mount Pleasant Mills, and Robin Getz of Mifflinburg; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen and Dennis Peters of Mifflinburg, Rose and Robert Engle of Milton, Lisa and Donald Auman of Northumberland; eight brothers and six sisters-in-law, Charles Swanger of Lima, New York, Carl and Joyce Swanger of De Leon Springs, Florida, Lloyd and Phyllis Swanger of New Berlin, Fred and Eleanor Swanger of Lewisburg, John Swanger of Oliveburg, Eugene and Donna Swanger of Sunbury, Leonard and Lois Swanger of Litiz, and Rawlin, and Melissa Swanger of New Berlin; one sister, Sonya Kline of New Berlin; 19 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Diane Borucki; three sisters, Dorothy Newbury, Nancy Paul, and Linda Swanger; one brother in infancy, Mahlon; two sisters-in-law, Teresa Swanger, and Sandy Swanger; and three brothers-in-law, Charles Kline, Robert Newbury, and Ervin Paul.

Burial will be conducted privately in Mazeppa Union Cemetery, Lewisburg.
