Anna M. Klingman, 83, Mifflinburg
Anna Mae Klingman, 83, of 93 Laney St., since 1986, formerly of Mechanicsburg, entered into rest at 8:16 p.m., Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born October 31, 1927, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Charles Clay and Mary Ruth (Dale) Wehr. On September 11, 1950, in East Prospect, Pennsylvania, with Rev. G. L. Reeser performing the ceremony, she married Robert E. Klingman, who survives.
Anna was a 1945 graduate of Lewisburg High School.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Mifflinburg, for 25 years.
Anna was employed as a secretary at Royal Imprints, Lewisburg, Henry Auto Dealership, Lewisburg, and Lewisburg Builders Supply.
She was a very creative person, and was a talented seamstress. Anna owned Ann K. Hats, in Lewisburg, where she designed and made hats for sale. She enjoyed stenciling, making crafts and handcrafted dolls, and quilting. She often attended craft shows, and made quilts for the Herr Memorial Library auctions.
Anna was a volunteer with the Mifflinburg and Western Union County Food Bank and served as coordinator the past several years, until she retired in 2006.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 60 years, are one sister-in-law, Edith Johnson of Mifflinburg; and nieces and nephews, Jean and Dick Kay of California, Joyce and Dick Beck, Peggy and Garvis Kron, Donna Williams, and Bill and Paula Wehr, all of Lewisburg, Judy McCarty of Muncy, Richard Beaver of Corning, NY, C. Gordon Klingman of Mifflinburg, James and Carol Reeser of Lock Haven, Charles and Vicki Reeser of Kingsport, Tenn., Patricia and Harold Steidler of York, David Schnure of Mifflinburg, John and Linda Schnure of Mifflinburg, Candy Schnure of Chicago, Bradley Gotshall of Mifflinburg, William Keiser of Lancaster, Daniel Keiser of Milton, Molly and Kenneth McCullion of Kreamer, and Edward Reaser of Whittier, Calif.
She was preceded in death by one brother, William Dale Wehr; three sisters, Florence Zimmerman, Pauline Beaver, and Catherine Libby; two nephews, Charles Libby and Roger Libby; and one niece, Patricia Muzi.
There will be no public viewing. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, with Rev. Susan Gabbard, officiating.
Burial will be in the Mifflinburg Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. John's United Church of Christ, Organ Fund, 417 Market St., Mifflinburg, PA 17844.
