Anna Mae Troester, 86, Mifflinburg

Anna Mae Troester, 86, of 205 Cannon Rd., since 1957, entered into rest at 10:05 p.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2011, at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg, where she had been a resident for 2 weeks.

She was born May 17, 1925, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late N. Edward and Erma (Keefer) Hauck. On August 18, 1944, she married Freeman L. Troester. He preceded her in death October 6, 1993.

Anna Mae was a 1943 graduate of Lewisburg High School.

She was a faithful member of the Mazeppa Union Church, where she was active in her sunday school class and in serving church dinners and other church functions.

Anna Mae assisted her husband on the family farm her entire married life.

She enjoyed crocheting for her family, tending to her flower garden, and caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren at her home. Anna Mae enjoyed baking and cooking for family gatherings and spending time with all of her family.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, LeRoy F. and Barbara A. Troester, and Glenn E. and Nancy R. Troester, all of Mifflinburg; two daughters and sons-in-law, Erma M. and Clarence A. Roush, and Hazel M. and Fred W. Roush, all of Mifflinburg; 9 grandchildren, Emily, Michael, Scott, Eric, Wendy, Brenda, LeRoy Jr., Amy, and Katy; and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles E. and Willard D. Hauck; one sister, Hazel I. Brown; and one granddaughter.

Family and friends are welcome from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday, at the Mazeppa Union Church, 3200 Johnson Mill Rd., Lewisburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m., with Rev. Ricky Phillips, officiating.

Burial will be in the Church Hill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to either the Mazeppa Union Church, 3200 Johnson Mill Rd., Lewisburg, PA 17837, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
