Anna L. Wiand, 87, Mifflinburg

Anna Leah Wiand, 87, formerly of Old Orchard Lane, Mifflinburg, from 1990 a�" 2003, and White Springs prior to 1990, entered into rest Wednesday morning, October 5, 2011, at Riverwoods, Lewisburg, where she had been a resident since 2003.

She was born March 17, 1924, in Westover, Maryland, a daughter of the late Melvin and Minnie (Yoder) Baker. On June 6, 1942, in Spring City, she married C. Edward Wiand. He preceded her in death May 3, 1998.

Anna was a member of the Boyer Mennonite Church since 1974.

She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and gardening.

Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Glenn and Barbara Wiand of Mifflinburg, Dean and Eileen Wiand of Mifflinburg, and Joel and Jodi Wiand of Laurelton; two daughters and one son-in-law, Norma and Dennis Conklin of Lebanon, Tenn., and Jeanne Ebersole of Pine Grove; 15 grandchildren, Bobby Webster of Binghamton, NY, Annette Cleary of Wellsboro, Scott Wiand of Alexandria, VA, Renee Glass of Palatine, Illinois, Rachael Akinfala of Palatine, Illinois, Amy Stephen of Cressona, Justin Wiand, Michael Wiand, MacKenzie Wiand, Rebekah Wiand, Tyler Wiand, Derek Wiand, all of Mifflinburg, Margaret Wiand, Virginia Wiand, and Graham Wiand, all of Laurelton; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; 3 brothers; and 3 sisters.

She was preceded in death by one son, Robert Lee Wiand in 2007; 2 brothers; and 1 sister.

Family and friends are welcome from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the Boyer Mennonite Church, 1472 W. Ridge Rd., Middleburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m., with Pastor Sam Yoder, officiating.

Burial will be in the Boyer Mennonite Church Cemetery.
