Audrey Vonneida
October 7, 1932 — January 13, 2015
MILLMONT – Audrey Elaine VonNeida, 82, a lifelong resident of Hartleton, most recently of 206 Shirk Rd., entered into rest at 4:11 a.m., Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
She was born October 7, 1932, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Boyd and Alice (Gearhart) Mitchell. On March 5, 1951, she married Charles S. VonNeida, Jr., who preceded her in death November 2, 1982.
Audrey was a 1949 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.
She was an active member of Lincoln Chapel United Methodist Church, Laurelton, where she enjoyed helping with the turkey suppers, making doughnuts, tending to the flower beds, and sharing fellowship with her church family.
Audrey loved her flowers at home, watching tv, completing word searches, and coffee time with her neighbors.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Virginia VonNeida of Beaver Springs; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Rodney Snyder of Millmont; two granddaughters, Jennifer Snyder and her companion Michael Bleyer of Lewistown, and Bethany Snyder and her fiancé Jason Thone of Mifflinburg; four great grandchildren, Ethan, Christian, Chandlar, and Victoria Thone; and two sisters and one brother-in-law, Shirley Kerstetter of Mifflinburg, and Dawne and Mark Shreckengast of Millmont.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Jeremy VonNeida; and one sister, Jean Hoffmaster.
Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, at the Lincoln Chapel United Methodist Church, Laurelton, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m., with Pastor Mike Wilson and Pastor Richard VonNeida, officiating.
Burial will be in the Hartleton Cemetery.
