Barbara Benfer

LEWISBURG – Barbara Charlotte Benfer, 92, of Lewisburg, entered into rest Wednesday evening, December 3, 2014, at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg.
She was born November 11, 1922, in Mausdale, a daughter of the late George Mack and Grace Louella (Hartranft) Bieber. On April 19, 1947 she married William G. Benfer, who preceded her in death on November 5, 1998.
Barbara was a 1941 graduate of Milton High School.
She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Lewisburg.
Barbara was employed at JPM Co., Lewisburg and Philco, for many years.
She enjoyed her nieces and nephews and their families immensely. Besides her family, she enjoyed gardening
Surviving is one brother, George M. Bieber of Hatboro, Pa; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Cameron Bieber, John Hilner, Lester Hilner, and Ralph Hilner; and three sisters, Evelyn Smith, Mary Day, and Martha Keiser.
A memorial service to celebrate Barbara's life will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
