Barbara A. Troup

Barbara Ann Troup, 84, of 1104 Buffalo Rd., Lewisburg, entered into rest at 6:00 a.m., Friday, April 4, 2025, at Celebration Villa, Lewisburg.

She was born October 2, 1940, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Clarence and Rachel (Wolf) Hassinger. On January 17, 1960, she married Clair E. Troup, who survives.

Barbara was a 1958 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.

She was a member of the Buffalo Valley United Methodist Church.

Barbara was employed at JPM Co., Lewisburg, Dockview Dairy, Lewisburg, Catherman’s Candy, Lewisburg, Mifflinburg High School, and Pennsylvania House Furniture, Lewisburg, until she retired.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Lewisburg.

Barbara enjoyed baking, boating, fishing, going to her cabin, and spending time with her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 65 years, are one daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Dean Wiand of Mifflinburg; one son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Cindy Troup of Unityville; four grandchildren and spouses, Kayla and Chris Logue of Erie, Amanda and Joe Potkovac of Parrish, Florida, Devan Clements of Montoursville, and Jennifer and Jon Kile of Benton; two great-grandchildren, Parker Logue and Samuel Kile; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Helen Guffy of Lewisburg, Faylene and LaRue Mauer of Lewistown, and Lucie and Dick Wenrich of Wisconsin; and one brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Catherine Hassinger of Mifflinburg.

She was preceded in death by five siblings, Cloyce Spigelmyer, Ray Hassinger, Elwood Hassinger, Oscar Hassinger, and Tom Hassinger.

Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 9, at Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg. A graveside service will follow in the Mazeppa Union Cemetery.
