Betty J. Buttorff, 97, of Hartleton, entered into rest at 2:15 p.m., Monday, November 30, 2020, at Heritage Springs, Lewisburg.
She was born December 4, 1922 in Sunbury, a daughter of the late William and Sylvia (Landau) Griffas. On July 2, 1939, she married Charles H. Buttorff, who preceded her in death on May 3, 1994.
Betty owned, operated and was the head cook at Milton Quick Lunch. She also assisted with bookkeeping at Buttorff Sales and Service for many years.
She was a member of Christ’s United Lutheran Church, Millmont, and served on the Hartleton Board of Elections.
Betty enjoyed cooking and being a homemaker. She enjoyed watching baseball on television, and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, William E. Buttorff of Winfield, and Stephen F. and Linda Buttorff of Millmont; six grandchildren, Debra (Marlin Jr.) Brubaker, William C. (Lori) Buttorff, April (Jim) Clarke, Stephen T. (Heather) Buttorff, Kara Buttorff, and Daniel Buttorff; 10 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family, followed by burial in Hartleton Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Mike Palachick.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Camp Koala PO Box 2106, Kingston, PA 18704.
