Betty Vonada

Betty Vonada, 89, of New Berlin, entered into rest at 9:55 a.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

She was born August 26, 1933 in New Berlin, a daughter of the late Carl J. and Geraldine M. (Valentine) Moyer. On April 18, 1957, she married Donald C. Vonada, Sr., who preceded her in death October 1, 1993.

Betty was a 1951 graduate of Lewisburg High School.

She was employed at JPM, Lewisburg.

Betty enjoyed bus trips, puzzles, Hallmark movies, loved watching the Phillies, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Betty was a lifelong member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, New Berlin and was devoted to multiple ministries.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald “Sam” Jr. and Brenda Vonada and Barry and Renee Vonada all of New Berlin; three grandchildren and their spouses, Alesha Vonada, Michael Vonada, and Jessica and Robert Schuth; two step-grandchildren and their spouses, Daniel and Sherry Faust and Andrew and Autumn Faust; one great-grandchild, Nolan Ryan Schuth; five step-great-grandchildren, Amelia, Conner, Deacon, Sadie, and Molly Faust.

Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, at Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 326 Market St., New Berlin, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Rev. Jan Garinger and Rev. Alice Rauch, officiating.

Burial will be in New Berlin Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent to the Emmanuel United Church of Christ, or New Berlin Fire Company, 415 High Street, New Berlin PA 17855.
