MIFFLINBURG – Carolyn L. Wagner, 72, of 5841 Buffalo Rd., entered into rest at 7:14 a.m., Thursday, July 16, 2015, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born May 15, 1943, in West Penn Township, a daughter of the late Thomas L. and Irene M. (Luckenbill) Evans. On July 17, 1971, she married Robert M. Wagner, who survives.
Carolyn was a 1961 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School.
She was employed at Lininger’s Knitting Mill, Orwigsburg, from 1961 until 1974.
Carolyn was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Cowan, where she assisted with dinners and vacation bible school.
She was a member of the New Ringgold Fire Company.
Carolyn enjoyed crocheting in her spare time.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 44 years, are five sons and four daughters-in-law, Robert M. Jr. and Sandra M. Wagner of Laurelton, Ronald M. and Jamie E. Wagner of Vicksburg, Russell M. and Michele M. Wagner of Hartleton, Richard M. and Marina Wagner of Centerport, and Roger M. Wagner of Melbourne, Florida; one brother and sister-in-law, Thomas L. Jr. and Marie Evans of New Ringgold; 5 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Doris M. Hirnych; and one granddaughter, Savannah I. Wagner.
Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday, and 1 to 2 p.m., Monday, at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Cowan, 2599 Church Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 2, with Pastor Matthew Schuster and Pastor Lisa Schuster, officiating.
