Casey Murray

Casey L. Murray, 43, of 2020 State Route 235, Millmont, entered into rest Friday, August 16, 2019.

He was born March 7, 1976 in Lewisburg, a son of John Murray of Lewisburg, and Cindy (Aikey) Murray of Mazeppa. On November 21, 1998, he married the former Tabitha M. King, who survives.

Casey was a 1994 Mifflinburg Area High School graduate.

He owned and operated Murray Construction and Repair.

Casey started as a junior firefighter and continued for many years, eventually becoming Lieutenant of the West End Fire Company, and a certified Firefighter 2. He was a First Responder and certified EMT.

He loved airbrushing everything, including mailboxes, motorcycles, and cars, and took great pride in his craftsmanship.

Casey enjoyed hunting, fishing, Sunday Funday, Friday night dinners, Saturday breakfasts, riding motorcycles and sitting with his toes in the sand and a beer in his hand with his wife, and spending time in the ocean with his children.

He was his children’s #1 fan, never missing events in their lives and was always there to cheer them on. He coached their soccer and midget football teams.

Casey was a cofounder and standing member of FOT.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, Morgan and Ian; one brother, Jason; one nephew, AJ; maternal grandmother, Evelyn Aikey; stepmother, Tina Murray; mother and father-in-law, Wayne and Reese King; and lifelong friend, Tom Aikey.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Donald and Mary Lee Murray; maternal grandfather, George Aikey; and brother-in-law, Nicolas King.

Family and friends are welcome to a time of visitation from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, and 10-11 a.m., Wednesday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m.
