Charles "Mackie" W. McFarland, 75, Mifflinburg
Charles "Mackie" William McFarland, 75, of 1825 Wabash Rd., for over 50 years, entered into rest at 7:10 p.m., Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at Manor Care, Sunbury.
He was born April 1, 1937, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Robert B. and Ida Mae (Thromer) McFarland. He and the former Anna V. Walter, who survives, were married for over 50 years.
Mackie was a 1955 graduate of Lewisburg High School.
He served in the Army from 1960 until his honorable discharge in 1962.
Mackie was employed at American Home Foods, Milton. Earlier in life, he worked at Philco, Watsontown, and the Milton Shoe Factory.
He enjoyed hunting, and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are one son, Scott McFarland of Mifflinburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Brent Ulrich of Mifflinburg; one step-son, Michael Erb of Norfolk, VA; one step-daughter Debra and her husband Ronald Tyson of Mifflinburg; one sister, Lucille McFarland of Milton; and 4 grandchildren, Brianna Ulrich, Mikayla McFarland, Jamie Miller, and Steven Heimbach.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert McFarland; and one sister, Mary McFarland.
Funeral services will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
