Charles F. “Bubby” Smith, 84, of Lewisburg since 2005, formerly of Baltimore, Maryland, entered into the arms of Jesus at 9:23 a.m., Tuesday, August 7, 2018, at Rolling Hill Manor, Millmont.
He was born October 19, 1933, in Baltimore, a son of the late Melvin and Madeline (Gallion) Smith. On July 11, 1959, in Baltimore, he married the former Mary L. Pitts, who survives.
Charles was a 1954 graduate of Southern High School, Baltimore.
He honorably served in the Army from 1954 until his honorable discharge in 1958.
Charles was employed as a Lineman Supervisor at Baltimore Gas and Electric for forty years until he retired in 1994.
He was a member of the Lewisburg Bible Church, where he was active in Bible studies and outreach.
Charles enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 59 years, are one son and daughter-in-law, Charles M. “Chuck” and Jane Dorman Smith of Mifflinburg; three grandchildren, Robert W. Smith, Jr. and his wife Haley of Baltimore, David C. Smith and his companion Amanda Golueke of Baltimore, and Hannah Smith of Lewisburg; three great grandchildren, Ivaleigh, Robert Wesley Smith, III, and Robert Luke; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by one son, Robert W. Smith, Sr. in 1996; and two sisters, Patricia Dages and Melva Kotofski.
Family and friends are welcome from 1 to 2 p.m., Friday, at the Lewisburg Bible Church, 311 Hospital Dr., Lewisburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 2, with Rev. Roger Wenger, officiating.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Saturday, at the Cedar Hill Cemetery, 5829 Ritchie Hwy, Brooklyn Park, Maryland.

Funeral arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
