MILTON – Chester Allen Rowe, 78, of 707 Broadway, entered into rest at 1:10 p.m., Saturday, January 30, 2016, at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.
He was born July 23, 1937, in Shamokin Dam, a son of the late Irvin and Emma (Sassaman) Rowe.
Chester was a 1957 graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School.
He served in the Air Force until his honorable discharge on January 14, 1963.
Chester was employed as a mechanic at Rowe’s Gulf Service Station, Lewisburg, and later at New Columbia Joist, for many years, until he retired in 2002.
He enjoyed classic cars and playing cards.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Duane Rowe of Mifflinburg, and Steven and Stacey Rowe of Lewisburg; two daughters and sons-in-law, Teresa and Michael Ewart, Sr. of Weikert, and Malinda and Josh Ruch of Milton; one brother, Gilbert Rowe of Keene, New Hampshire; one niece, Kathi Rowe of Keene; one nephew, Ed Rowe of New Columbia; 14 grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Albert Rowe; and one daughter, Susan Markle.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Chester will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, at the West End Bible Fellowship, 19200 Old Turnpike Rd., Millmont, with Pastor Richard DeVett, officiating.
Funeral arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
