Chester Dale Yarger

Chester D. “Dale” Yarger, 86, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 6:36 a.m., Saturday, May 4, 2024, at Rolling Hills Manor, Millmont.

He was born January 22, 1938, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Clyde Ernest and Nora Alice (Shaffer) Yarger.  On May 1, 1977 he married the former Lulu Knause, who preceded him in death December 29, 1999. 

Dale was a 1957 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.

He was employed at Pennsylvania House, Lewisburg, for many years, and as a truck driver for Keister’s Livestock. He also worked for Apex Homes as a driver escort.

He was a Life Member of the Buffalo Valley Sportsmen’s Association where he was very active until his health did not permit. He also enjoyed and competed in many horse shows in the area.

Surviving are nieces, nephews, and close friends Allen and Janet Zimmerman of Mifflinburg. We would like to thank all the caregivers who have helped over the years.

Services will be private.
