Dale L. Weller, 79, Lewisburg

Dale Luther Weller, 79, of 4567 Old Turnpike Rd., for the past 46 years, entered into rest at 5:00 a.m., Thursday, July 22, 2010, at his home.

He was born September 29, 1930, in Mifflinburg, a son of the late Luther and Miriam (Brown) Weller. On March 8, 1963, in Lewisburg, he married the former Thelma F. Hummel, who survives.

Dale was employed at Pennsylvania House, Lewisburg, for 30 years, until he retired in 1992. Earlier in life, he worked in carpentry and masonry.

He was of Lutheran faith.

Dale was a member of the Middleburg V.F.W. , Milton Loyal Order of Moose, and the New Berlin American Legion Post 957.

He enjoyed woodworking and making crafts at his home, gardening, fishing, and hunting.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 47 years, are four sons and two daughters-in-law, Roger and Paula Weller of Utah, David and Cheryl Weller of Millmont, Neil Weller and his companion Mary Flowers of Penns Creek, and Carl Weller of Texas; four step-sons and step-daughters-in-law, Carl and Dorothy Berge of Winfield, Jerry and Donna Berge of Kratzerville, Gary and Sue Berge of Selinsgrove, and Richard and Sandy Berge of Winfield; one step-daughter, Connie Schreffler of Winfield; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Donald Weller, Harold and Wanda Weller, and Robert and Verna Weller, all of Mifflinburg; one sister, Pauline Mull of North Carolina; 24 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Phyllis Weller.

Family and friends are welcome from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday, and 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Monday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m., with Rev. Wayne Muthler, officiating.

Burial will be in the Lewisburg Cemetery.
