Delbert "Del" E. Richart, Jr., Millmont

Delbert "Del" E. Richart, Jr., of 18440 Old Turnpike Rd., for the past 3 years, formerly of Polly Pine Rd., entered into rest at 4:22 p.m., Thursday, September 22, 2011, at his home.

He was born September 22, 1939, in Sunbury, a son of the late Delbert E., Sr. and Rosella M. (Case) Richart. On May 15, 1964, he married Anna L. Long. She preceded him in death August 26, 2004. On April 26, 2008, he married Diane H. Anderson Sanzotto, who survives.

Del was a 1957 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.

He honorably served in the Navy.

Del was employed at ConAgra, Milton, for 35 years, until he retired in 2001.

He was a member and trustee of the Lincoln Chapel United Methodist Church, Laurelton.

Del was a member of the Union County Sportsmens Club, Weikert, Mifflinburg Moose, and West End Fire Company.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, working in the garden, and preparing homemade maple syrup with his friends.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are one daughter and son-in-law, Michele D. and Troy A. Crist of Claysburg; two step-children and their spouses, Frank L. and Jean Sanzotto of Paxinos, and Lisa M. and Mitchel Laskoskie of Sunbury; one brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Bobbie Richart of Harrison, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Amanda and Erica Crist; three step-grandchildren, Mitchel and Justin Laskoskie, and Frankie Sanzotto; and five step great grandchildren.

Family and friends are welcome from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Monday, at the Roupp Funeral Home , Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the Lincoln Chapel United Methodist Church, Laurelton, with Rev. Mark Messner and Rev. Jonathan West, officiating.

Burial will be in the Hartleton Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to either the Lincoln Chapel United Methodist Church, Box 156, Laurelton, PA 17835, or the Evangelical Home Hospice, 1 Hospital Dr., Lewisburg, PA 17837.
