Dena Miller

MIFFLINBURG – Dena Miller, 89, of 165 Wirth Rd., went home to be with her Lord, at 9:36 a.m., Sunday, January 11, 2015, at her home.
She was born May 18, 1925, in Plain City, Ohio, a daughter of the late Samuel B. and Dinah (Kurtz) Frey. On March 18, 1954, she married Enos S. Miller, who preceded her in death March 28, 1997.
Dena worked in the bakery of the Yoder's Family Restaurant, Millmont.
She had a love for children, and was a foster mother to 50 children.
Surviving are one son, Andrew R. Miller of Lewisburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Mervin Miller of Mifflinburg; one sister, Ellen Schmitt of Sarasota, Florida; 13 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Rebecca Miller; 1 grandchild; 1 great grandchild; 5 brothers; and 6 sisters.
Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 p.m., and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the Shady Grove Christian Fellowship, 5327 Buffalo Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m., Thursday, with officiating ministers,Tim Yoder, Ray Stutzman, David Swartzentruber.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
