Donald Poeth

Donald E. Poeth, 66, of 59 Stahl Lane, Lewisburg, entered into rest at 11:13 p.m., Saturday, June 15, 2024, at home.

He was born May 8, 1958, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Edward Anderson and Ethel Mae (Walters) Poeth. On August 25, 1979, in Lewisburg, he married the former Wendy Ann Oberdorf, who survives.

Donald was a 1976 graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School, where he wrestled and played football.

He was employed at R.R. Donnelly, Lewisburg, for 38 years, until he retired in 2020.

Donald attended the Buffalo Community Church, Lewisburg.

He played fastpitch softball for over 30 years. Donald enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling, and watching high school and NCAA wrestling, especially Penn State.

Donald was a fan of Penn State football, Philadelphia Phillies, and Chicago Bears. 

Surviving in addition to his wife of 44 years, are two daughters, Tiffany L. Poeth of Penns Creek, and Lindsay A. Poeth of Millheim; one sister, Eda Mae Beaver of Mifflinburg; and his miniature yorkie dog, Wally.

Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 19, and 10:30 to 11 a.m., Thursday, June 20, at the Buffalo Community Church, 4445 Hoffa Mill Road, Lewisburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11, with Pastor Eddy Hostettler officiating.

Burial will be at the Mazeppa Union Cemetery.
