Donna Lou (Miller) Hoffman, 84, formerly of Selinsgrove and Mifflinburg, entered into rest Thursday, February 20, 2025, at Emmanuel Nursing Hospice Center, Danville.
She was born July 28, 1940, in New Berlin, a daughter of the late Harry, Sr. and Genevieve (Sechman) Miller. On January 19, 1963, in New Berlin, she married Roger K. Hoffman, who preceded her in death July 22, 2013.
Donna was a 1958 graduate of Mifflinburg High School. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Selinsgrove, where she was a Sunday school teacher, a member of the choir and sang solos, and visited shut-ins.
Donna was employed as a Nurse’s Aide at Penn Lutheran Village, Selinsgrove, and Nottingham Village, Northumberland. She worked in activities at the nursing home in the last 15 years and was instrumental in starting similar programs at High Street Manor, Selinsgrove.
She enjoyed collecting dolls, puzzles, knitting and needle point, and her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Daryl and Wendy Hoffman of Nicholson; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Detra and Tim Dodge of Mifflinburg, Danette and Curt Pope of Selinsgrove, and Crystal Hoffman of Williamsport; ten grandchildren, Amber, Tyler, Caitlin, Derek, Mallory, Mason, Lacy, Keara, Jacob, and Oliver; eight great-grandchildren, Kaden, Canyon, Samson, Reese, Genevieve, Larry, Lyla, Lilly, and two expected this year; one brother, Harry Miller, Jr. of Watsontown; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy and Merill Criswell of Watsontown, and Luci Miller and Tom May of Pittsburgh.
She was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Nathaniel Kiehl Hoffman, and Jenna Noel Pope. Family and friends are welcome for a time of visitation from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, February 28, and 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, March 1, at Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg, where the funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., with Rev. John Yost, officiating.
Burial will be in the New Berlin Cemetery.
