Dorothy A. Beck, 81, Mifflinburg
Dorothy Antoinette (Yurchalk) Beck, 81, of 203 Meadowlark Lane, since 2002, entered into eternal rest at 12:05 p.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Columbia Montour Hospice, Danville.
She was born February 23, 1932, in Luzerne, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Tirpak) Yurchalk. On September 5, 1953, in Luzerne, she married Peter G. Beck, who survives.
Dorothy moved to New Jersey after high school to study nursing. She graduated from St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Trenton, NJ. She practiced her professional career as a Registered Nurse in the state of New Jersey.
Surviving in addition to her loving husband, one son and daughter-in-law, David P. and Denise Beck of Morgantown; two daughters and one son-in-law, Janice and Peter E. Luisi of Kunkletown, and Sandra A. Beck of Groveville, NJ; three sisters, Marion Blocker of Colorado Springs, CO, JoAnne Langdon of West Chester, and Irene Kazokas of Friendsville; five grandchildren, Angela DiCrecchio, Erica Luisi, Samantha Kopec, Peter A. Luisi and Jaclyn Luisi; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara Yurchalk.
Family and friends are welcome from 10:30 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the St. George Church, 775 Forest Hill Rd., Mifflinburg, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., with Rev. Monsignor William Richardson, celebrant.
The graveside committal service will be at 5 p.m., Tuesday, in the Princeton Memorial Park, 403 Gordon Rd., Robbinsville, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 2405 Park Dr., Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
Funeral arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
