Earl J. "Jake" Lamey, 63, Millmont
Earl Jacob "Jake" Lamey, 63, of 7175 Creek Rd., for the past 5 years, formerly a resident of Seneca, South Carolina, entered into rest at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, February 16, 2012, at his home.
He was born December 21, 1948, in Lewisburg, a son of Cora (Barnett) Boop of Millmont, and the late Earl Libby Lamey. On February 14, 1997, in Walhalla, SC, he married Ciri L. Zeiser, who preceded him in death September 2, 2009.
Jake was a 1966 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.
He honorably served in the Air Force from 1967 to 1971.
Jake was employed as a chemist for Duke Energy in South Carolina, from 1978 until he retired in 2004..
He was a member of the Jack's Mountain A.B.A.T.E. Chapter 35.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Jonathan and Marybeth Lamey of Chapin, SC, and Joshua and Kaylan Lamey of Rock Hill, SC; one step-son, Jason Taylor of Levittown; two step-daughters, Shannon Taylor of Shamokin, and Megan and her husband David Simpson of Morrisville; 3 grandchildren, Katie, Patrick, and Samuel Lamey; 4 step-grandchildren, Lexis, Ethan, and Saige Taylor, and Madilyn Jade Herb; one brother and sister-in-law, Daniel T. and Maureen Lamey of Millmont; one sister-in-law, Tanya Evans of Levittown.
A memorial service to celebrate Jake's life, will be conducted at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 3, 2012, at the Hironimus Union Church, Weikert, with Pastor Ralph Unroe, officiating.
Interment will be in the Hironimus Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
