Edythe Isabelle Klingman Johnson, 93, Mifflinburg

Edythe Isabelle Klingman Johnson, 93, of 72 Shipton St., since 1997, entered into rest at 8:42 p.m., Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

She was born October 10, 1919, in Mifflinburg, a daughter of the late Charles L. and Anna (Doebler) Klingman. On July 5, 1967, at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mifflinburg, she married Lt. Col. Darwin A. Johnson, who preceded her in death in 2005.

Edythe was a 1937 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.

She was employed at the Mifflinburg Telegraph for eight years. Edythe also worked in the office at Yorktowne Kitchens, Mifflinburg, and at the local draft office.

Edythe lived in Fairfield, California, from 1967 until her return to Mifflinburg in 1997, where she was active with the Women's Division of the Chamber of Commerce, and the Ladies of the Elks. She also worked for the county of Solano.

Surviving are one son, Bradley K. Gotshall of Mifflinburg; one brother, Robert E. Klingman of Mifflinburg; and two step-grandchildren, Daria Grubb and Sebastian Grubb, both of California.

The funeral will be conducted privately and at the convenience of the family.
