Ethel R. Stover, 95, Millmont

Ethel Ramona Stover, 95, of 244 Stover Rd., since 1974, entered into rest at 4:00 a.m., Sunday, December 11, 2011, at her home.

She was born July 16, 1916, in Menno, South Dakota, a daughter of the late William and Aurelia (Schneidt) Wolfe. On August 12, 1933, she married Nevin T. Stover. He preceded her in death June 28, 1988.

Ethel assisted her husband on the family dairy farm in Swengel, and earlier in life in Centre County.

She was a member of the West End Senior Center.

Ehtel enjoyed sewing, flowers, bird watching, embroidery, canning, baking bread, and collecting glass baskets.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and preparing Thanksgiving dinners with her family.

Surviving are four grandchildren and their spouses, Delphia and David Lohr, Tina and Ernest Smith, and Mary Ann Shallenberger, all of Mifflinburg, and Marlene and Dr. Rodney Stout of Gallipolis, Ohio; one brother, Donald Wolfe of Aaronsburg; one sister, Edna Bartley of Spring Mills; 9 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren; and one nephew who she raised, William Wolfe of Mifflinburg.

She was preceded in death by one son, Theodore Stover, May 7, 1995.

Family and friends are welcome from 10 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at noon, with Rev. Henry Dorman, officiating.

Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Millheim.
