MIFFLINBURG – Gary Lee Eisenhower, 67, of 70 Chestnut St., for the past 16 years, entered into rest at 6:55 a.m., Sunday, September 11, 2016, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
He was born July 24, 1949, in Williamsport, a son of Kathryn (Fisher) Eisenhower of Williamsport and the late Chester A. Eisenhower. On June 28, 2001, in Mifflinburg, he married the former Virginia “Ginny” C. Hubbert, who survives.
Gary was employed at Page’s Meats, Turbotville, Premier Linen and Laundry, Williamsport, and Yorktowne, Mifflinburg.
He was a member of the Mifflinburg V.F.W. Post 1964, Mifflinburg American Legion Post 410, Jersey Shore American Legion Post 36, Mifflinburg Moose Lodge 1396, Williamsport Moose Lodge 145, and West End Fire Company.
Gary enjoyed watching football and was a Pittsburgh Steeler fan, demolition derbies, and NASCAR racing.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 15 years and mother, are 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Chester I. and Wanda Eisenhower of Mifflinburg, and Dale D. and Sammi Fisher of Williamsport; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Dot and Jim Shoemaker of Jersey Shore, and Bonnie and Tom Burkholder of Jersey Shore; 7 brothers-in-law, and 4 sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Charlie Eisenhower.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Gary will be conducted at 6 p.m., Thursday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, Johnny Blake, officiating.
