George Eister

George E. Eister, 91, of Lewisburg, entered into rest at 2:50 p.m., Monday, June 8, 2020 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born February 22, 1929 in Shamokin Dam, a son of the late Frank and Stella (Lewis) Eister. On April 2, 1952, he married the former Hilda J. Aikey, who preceded him in death on February 14, 2017.

George served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1949 until his honorable discharge in 1953.

He was employed at Tioga Feed Mills and Buttercrust Bakery, Sunbury.

Per George's wishes, funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
