Geraldine M. Printzenhoff Bower, 87, Lewisburg

Geraldine M. Printzenhoff Bower, 87, a resident of Riverwoods, Lewisburg, since May, formerly of 457 Grant St., Williamsport, entered into rest at 5:40 a.m., Thursday, December 9, 2010, at Riverwoods.

She was born December 25, 1922, in Hartley Township, a daughter of the late Frank E. and Edna (Boop) Printzenhoff.

Geraldine was a 1939 graduate of Mifflinburg High School, and graduated from the Potts Business School, Williamsport, in 1942.

She was employed as a bookkeeper for Bro-Dart, Newberry, for many years until she retired in 1986. Geraldine also owned and operated the Metzger's Jewelry Store, Williamsport.

Geraldine was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, Williamsport.

She loved animals and had a special love for cats, especially her favorite cat, Molly.

Surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law, Frank and Emily Printzenhoff of Milton, and Ronald and Mary Printzenhoff of Mifflinburg; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Olive and Leon Snyder of Northumberland, and Carole and Robert Misheck of Sunbury; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Printzenhoff, Marie Smith, and June Pfleegor.

There will be no public viewing. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Monday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, with Rev. Alice Rauch, officiating.

Burial will be in the Hartleton Cemetery.
