Gilbert "Gib" M. Stahl, 63, Lewisburg
Gilbert "Gib" M. Stahl, 63, of 7902 Col. John Kelly Rd., since 1975, and a lifelong resident of Buffalo Township, entered into rest at 9:15 p.m., Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at his home.
He was born September 12, 1949, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Marvin G. and Velma Mae (Heddings) Stahl. On December 27, 1996, he married Betty L. Bronson, who survives.
Gib was a 1967 graduate of Lewisburg High School and 1969 graduate of Williamsport Area Community College.
He was employed at Kelly Mobile Homes, Lewisburg, from 1967 to 1969, Cooper-Jarrett Trucking Company, Milton, from 1970 to 1983, and then was employed as a certified Simonton window installer for his brother at Wayne M. Stahl Window and Siding, until 2013. In 26 years, Gib was never late for work and continued to work throughout his illness.
Gib enjoyed mowing his grass, caring for his property, his numerous cats, and spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are one brother who was born Gib's first birthday, Wayne M. Stahl and Nancy English of Lewisburg; one brother-in-law, Peter Guyer of Lewisburg; one neice, Tiffany J. and her husband Matthew Miller of Middleburg; one nephew, Samuel P. Guyer of Lewisburg; two sisters-in-law, Roberta and her husband James Kramer of Allentown, and Florence and her husband Randy Laudenbach of Allentown; mother-in-law, Audrey Bronson of Bloomsburg; and numerous true and loyal friends.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Cynthia Guyer in 2012.
Family and friends are welcome for a time of visitation from noon to 1 p.m., Saturday, at the First Presbyterian Church, 401 Main St., Watsontown, where a memorial service to celebrate the life of Gib will be conducted at 1 p.m., with Rev. Paul A. Smith and Rev. Stanley Bower, officiating.
