Glen R. Weaver, 59, of New Columbia, entered into rest at 3:40 a.m., Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born December 12, 1963, in Lewisburg, a son of the late John and Cora (Kauffman) Weaver. On June 15, 1985, he married the former Tina M. Stoltzfus, who survives.
Glen was a member of the Buffalo Community Church, Lewisburg.
He was employed as farm manager at Stoltzfus Grain, Lewisburg, for 43 years.
Glen was a loving husband and dear father. His passion for farming was only outdone by his loving care for others. Glen had a genuine warmth about him that made everyone feel safe and appreciated. When the cancer returned after nearly twenty years, Glen said “I’m going to kick it (cancer), either way.” This was because his hope was in the grace of God and wanted everyone to know Jesus as their savior.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 38 years, are one son, Devin Weaver; one daughter and son-in-law, Brianna and Brandon Herman; two grandchildren, Brinley and Easton Herman; two brothers and one sister-in-law, John and Joyce Weaver, and Orville Weaver; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Irene and Karl Schooley, Charlotte and Walter Martin, and Evelyn and Joseph Anchor.
A celebration of Glen’s life will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 4, at the Buffalo Community Church, 4445 Hoffa Mill Road, Lewisburg, with Pastor Eddy Hostettler officiating.
Burial will be in the Buffalo Community Church Cemetery, followed by a luncheon and time of fellowship.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to either Buffalo Community Church, 4445 Hoffa Mill Road, Lewisburg, PA 17837, or Rosedale International, PO Box 360854, Columbus OH 43236.
Arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
