Gloria Jean Wenrick, 68, of 1850 State Route 235, Laurelton, for the past 45 years, entered into rest at 8:44 p.m., Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born January 19, 1942, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late William E. and Frieda M. (Kline) Chappell. On September 28, 1963, in Laurelton, she married Leroy C. Wenrick, Sr, who survives.
Gloria was a 1960 graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School.
She was employed as a teacher's aide at the First Independent Bible Baptist School, and the Hillside Christian Academy, both of Mifflinburg. Earlier in life, she was employed at the Laurelton Center.
Surviving in addition to her husband of nearly 47 years, are three sons and daughters-in-law, Leroy C., Jr. and Margaret Anne Wenrick of Loveland, Colorado, Corey Joe and Donna Wenrick of Lewisburg, and Elon J. and Stephanie Wenrick of Beaufort, South Carolina; four daughters and sons-in-law, Trina and Terry Shambach of Middleburg, Jeri and Brad Moll of Mount Pleasant Mills, Patti and Jeffrey Carson of Longview, Texas, and Grace and Tyrone Jackson of Longview, Texas; two brothers and one sister-in-law, William, Jr. and Judy Chappell of Scranton, and John Chappell of Lock Haven; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Betty and John Brendel of Lock Haven, Donna Christianson of Troxelville, and Tina Chappell of Florida; 28 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 3 grandchildren, David, Jasmine, and Elise.
Family and friends are welcome from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, at the Revival Tabernacle, 960 Susquehanna Trail, Watsontown, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m., with Pastor Timothy Gingrich, of Sound Truth Ministries, officiating.
Funeral arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
