Harold L. Diehl, 77, of 133 JPM Rd., formerly of Montgomery, entered into rest at 9:25 a.m., Friday, September 26, 2014, at Kramm Health and Rehabilitation Center, Milton.
He was born July 26, 1937, in Port Trevorton, a son of the late Clayton and Viola (Troup) Diehl. On October 13, 1956, in West Milton, with Rev. Thomas Musser performing the ceremony, he married the former Janette L. Schreck, who survives.
Harold attended Milton High School.
He served in the Air Force from January 1957 until his honorable discharge in January 1960.
Harold was a member of the Delaware Run Wesleyan Church, Watsontown.
He was employed at Milton Manufacturing for many years. Harold also worked in construction, as a truck driver, and at the Shikellamy State Park.
Harold enjoyed working with leather, making lead cast figures, fishing, and hunting.
Surviving in addition to his wife of nearly 58 years, are four sons and daughters-in-law, Robert A. and Mary Diehl of Goldon, Mississippi, James H. and Peggy Diehl of New Columbia, Daryl R. and Martha Diehl of Golden, and Gary L. and Linda Diehl of Bastrop, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Terry L. and Tom Weber of New Berlin; two sisters, Cora Wetzel of Milton, and Luella Baker of Mifflinburg; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, David Deihl.
Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the Delaware Run Wesleyan Church, 5570 Musser Lane, Watsontown, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m., with Pastor Mike Reece, officiating.
