COLLEGEVILLE - Hazel E. Kreischer, 88, of 93 Level Rd., entered into rest at 5:49 a.m., Tuesday, December 9, 2014, at Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse, Philadelphia.
She was born January 14, 1926, in Middleburg, a daughter of the late Clever Clinton and Dorothy Alice (Newman) Kessler. On February 15, 1947, in Sunbury, she married Glenn Leon Kreischer, who survives.
Hazel enjoyed cooking, baking, word searches, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, flowers, playing card games with her family, traveling, country music, picnics, and her family reunions.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Shirley Kreischer of Gilbertsville; two daughters and sons-in-law, June and Charlie Musselman of Lutz, Florida, and Connie and Howard Slingbaum of Havertown; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Jack and Patricia Kessler of Mifflinburg, and Willard Kessler of Lewisburg; one sister, Thelda Irene Bingaman of Mifflinburg; 5 grandchildren and their spouses, Richard and Jennifer Kreischer, Jamie and Nick Zuzek, Stephanie and Johnny Grubbs, Kyle Musselman, and Eric and Katie Schaeffer; and 5 great grandchildren, Natalie, Zachary, Layla, Stella, and C.J.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Herbert, and John; and six sisters, Catherine, Arla, Betty, Shirley, Eva, and Eudalia.
Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 3 p.m., Saturday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 3, with Pastor Harry Harter, officiating.
Burial will be in the Hummel's Church Cemetery, Middleburg.
