Helen M. Wert, 78, Millmont

Helen M. Wert, 78, of 57 Second St., since 1952, entered into rest at 6:25 p.m., Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at Kramm Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Milton.

She was born February 21, 1932, in McEwensville, a daughter of the late Thomas H. and Mary I. (Byers) Pfleegor. On August 7, 1952, in Lewisburg, she married George W. Wert, Jr. He preceded her in death September 28, 2008.

Helen was a graduate of Milton High School.

She was employed at the Laurelton Center for many years until she retired in 1992.

Helen enjoyed crocheting, completing word puzzels, and meeting with her friends every Tuesday at McDonald's in Mifflinburg.

Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Dale E. and Sharon L. Wert of Mifflinburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Debra A. and Donald D. Feather of Wildwood, New Jersey; one step-son and step-daughter-in-law, Allan R. and Ann Wert of Mililani, Hawaii; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Bertha Schell of Milton, and Evelyn "Sis" and Carl Erb of Milton; 7 grandchildren, Jeffrey and his wife Stephanie Herrold of Middleburg, Dale Wert, II, of Mifflinburg, Chirs Wert of Mifflinburg, Renee Wert of Middleburg, Joshua Herrold and his companion Amanda Spencer of Milton, Kelly Wert of Hawaii, and Ryan Wert of Hawaii; and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Luther, Donald, and William Pfleegor; and 2 sisters, Eleanor Thompson and Alice Pfleegor.

Family and friends are welcome from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, and 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m., with Pastor Butch Woolsey, officiating.

Burial will be in the Old Cedars Cemetery, Swengel.
