Hunter G. Brown, 82, of 1433 Red Ridge Rd., Lewisburg, for the past 11 years, passed away peacefully at 8:50 p.m., Wednesday, September 26, 2018, at his home, after fighting the IPF disease for the past two years.
He was born June 13, 1936, in New York City, a son of the late Graham T. and Elizabeth (Hunt) Brown. On October 3, 2007, he married the former Anna K. Burger, who survives.
Hunter was a graduate of Summit High School, New York, and earned his Engineering Degree from Williamsport Area Community College.
He honorably served in the Naval Air Force for 5 ½ years as a Meteorologist for the Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland.
Hunter worked for various engineering companies through Pennsylvania and New York.
He enjoyed going out to eat at Country Cupboard, Lewisburg, playing tennis, family outings, traveling, and his dog, Zoe.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are two daughters and one son-in-law, Loree L. Brown of Lewisburg, and Jennifer E. Brown Wacha and Duane Wacha of Tokyo, Japan; four sons and two daughters-in-law, James and Debra Koch of Montandon, John and Kathy Koch of Lewisburg, Stan Koch of Virginia, and Dave Koch of Florida; one daughter-in-law, Cinnamon Koch of Georgia; his favorite sister-in-law, Linda Wertman of Milton; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Barry Koch and Donald Koch.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 6, 2018, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, with Pastor Steve Shirk, officiating.
