Irene E. Long, 85, Mifflinburg

Irene Elizabeth Long, 85, formerly of Reitz Rd., Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, June 23, 2012, at Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village, Lewisburg, where she had been a resident since 2009.

She was born December 18, 1926, in Limestone Township, a daughter of the late John and Sally (Zimmerman) Long.

Irene was a member of the Christ Community Church, Millmont.

She was employed at Quaker Sewing, Lewisburg, and then at the Laurelton State School for 20 years until she retired.

Surviving are one sister-in-law, Dolores F. and her husband Harold John of Mifflinburg; nephews and their spouses, Richard and Ricki Long of Millmont, Leonard and Debra Long of Millmont, and John and Louise Reichenbach of Selinsgrove; and great nieces and nephews, Derek Long, Erica Umbel, Katelyn Long, and Zachary Long.

She was preceded in death by one brother, LeRoy Long; and one sister, Mary Reichenbach.

Family and friends are welcome from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Wednesday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m., with Rev. Henry F. Dorman, officiating.

Burial will be in the Mifflinburg Cemetery.
