Isabel A. Dietrich, 95, Mifflinburg

Isabel Alice Dietrich, 95, of 418 Snake Hill Rd., entered into rest at 6:20 p.m., Sunday, December 25, 2011, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

She was born June 1, 1916, in Kelly Township, a daughter of the late Irwin W. and Margaret Jane (Fox) Emery. On November 18, 1939, she married G. Earl Dietrich. He preceded her in death February 19, 2000.

Isabel was a graduate of Mifflinburg High School.

She was a homemaker, mother and grandmother, and assisted her husband in the operation of the family dairy farm.

Isabel was a lifelong member of the Trinity Lutheran Church of Cowan.

She was well-known for baking her oatmeal tollhouse cookies and lemon sponge pies.

Surviving are two sons and one daughter-in-law, Roy E. Dietrich and his companion Mary Travelpiece, and Michael A. and Tanya Eisenhuth Dietrich, all of Mifflinburg; one daughter and son-in-law, Janet M. and Roderick D. Laubach of Mifflinburg; 10 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren.

She was preceded by her brothers and sisters, Foster A. Emery, M. Luther Emery, George O. Emery, Martha E. Benner, Laura E. Walter, Miriam C. Feaster, and S. Viola Zimmerman; one daughter-in-law, Barbara J. Morrison Dietrich; and one granddaughter, Theresa L. Dietrich Monrad.

Family and friends are welcome from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, and 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., Thursday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m., with Rev. James H. Gold, officiating.

Burial will be in the Lewisburg Cemetery.
