Israel S. Yoder, 73, of 2078 Stein Lane, Lewisburg, entered into rest Friday, September 18, 2020, at his home.
He was born March 20, 1947, in Mechanicsville, Maryland, a son of the late Alvin and Malinda (Stoltzfus) Yoder. On November 26, 1970, he married the former Elizabeth K. Blank, who survives.
Israel was a dairy farmer most of his life. He also owned and operated Keystone Wood Products, Lewisburg, for 20 years, and was the groundskeeper for Dale Miller for 13 years.
He attended Grace Covenant Community Church, Middleburg.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 49 years, are two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark B. and Kendra Yoder of Mifflinburg, and Nathan B. and Monica Yoder of Cookeville, Tennessee; seven daughters and six sons-in-law, Katie B. and Duane Bomberger of Watsontown, Lena B. and Jeff Holmquist of Kalispell, Montana, Mollie B. and Eric Leaman of Lewisburg, Marian B. and Jason Miller of Sarasota, Florida, Keturah B. and Justin Fry of Atlanta, Georgia, V. Fern and Regan Swartzentruber of Lewisburg, and Teresa E. Yoder of Anderson, South Carolina; five brothers and sisters-in-law, Isaac and Lavina Yoder of Burksville, Kentucky, Ben and Leah Yoder of Munnsville, New York, Sam and Lena Yoder of Mifflintown, Alvin, Jr. and Anna Yoder of Trinidad, Colorado, and Noah and Carol Yoder of Decatur, Iowa; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Lydia and Amos Zook of Lewisburg, Hannah and Amos Stoltzfus of Honeybrook, Pennsylvania, Linda and John Stoltzfus of Lewisburg, and Mollie and Melvin Stoltzfus of Lewisburg; and 21 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Miriam B. Stoltzfus; and one grandson, Treg Leaman.
Family and friends are welcome from 2 to 4 p.m., and 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, and 1 to 2 p.m., Wednesday, at the Grace Covenant Community Church, 99 Café Lane, Middleburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m., with Pastor Mike Yoder, officiating.
Burial will be in the Lewisburg Cemetery.
