Jacklyn L. Wallace

June 4, 1956 — January 19, 2024

Millmont

Jacklyn “Jackie” L. Wallace was 67 years young, on January 19th, 2024, when she was skyrocketed straight to the golden gates to be immediately greeted by Malachi and Dakota, her two loving german shepherd’s.

She is the daughter of John & Gloria Johnson of Mifflinburg. Jackie came into this world on June 4, 1956, a little backwards and she continued to be unique in every way throughout her life.

She loved flamingos and lived her life as such. Jackie was always full of color and wore a bright smile and stood out wherever she went. She loved anything involving her family, the ocean, her pool and cooking. Jackie loved finding new recipes and making them her own. She was THE BEST COOK!

Jackie attended Mifflinburg High School but skipped out a little early to have her first child Angela Hendricks (Boob), her husband David W. Hendricks. She loved playing instruments and was proud of her 1st chair clarinet position. She then went on to have two more children Matthew D. Troxell, who married Beth Troxell of Alabama, and Timothy A. Troxell who married Angie M. Troxell of Mifflinburg.

Jackie spent most of her days taking care of us kids, the house, and working when she could. She worked at Bonanza for a time and was “mom”’ to all the kids there. Jackie worked at JPM, Buffalo valley nursing home, Time markets, Concern, Evan Hospice, The Daily Item for 21 years, and many more. Then at the age of 53 she said “ya know what? I want to go back to school”. So she did! She went to Mccann and got a degree in accounting and started working for the Commonwealth of PA, working her way up to an auditor position and had just recently retired.

Her goal was to move to Florida and sit on the beach every morning and drink her coffee and watch the boats, as the ocean gave her peace. She was terrified of birds but loved her larger birds in Florida. Jackie filled her short time of retirement with vacationing in Florida and working part time at H&R Block to fulfill her love of accounting.

She was married to Douglas J. Wallace for 30 years. Together they traveled to Florida as often as they could, while raising two dogs together- her beloved Malachi and Dakota. She then adopted her granddaughters three kitties which she grew to love, especially Princesses kisses in the morning.

Jackie was a rock and roll grandma and loved AC/DC, Godsmack, and Soundgarden, and the like. She loved attending concerts and most recently saw Kix and Jackyl and had a blast!!! Her grandchildren were all raised listening to this and swimming in her pool.

Jackie will be missed tremendously by all who knew her, including her grandchildren, Sierra L. Conrad & her husband Andrew J. Conrad, Dominic V. Troxell, Ethan D. Hendricks, Alexander P. Troxell, and Addison B. Troxell; her “schnookums”, her great-granddaughter Evelyn M. Conrad; sibling Jesse L. Johnson; longtime friend Vi Wilver; many coworkers; and her aunts, uncles and cousins who have many memories of her babysitting their young kids and playing cards and being bossy!

She was preceded in death by Mary Johnson, her paternal grandmother.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 25, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road., Mifflinburg.
