LEWISBURG – James “Jim” “Pappy” Franklin Auman, 72, of 67 Timberhaven Drive, entered into rest at 2:05 a.m., Friday, November 4, 2016, at his home.
He was born June 20, 1944, in Mill Hall, a son of the late Harry and Saphrona (Geiswite) Auman. On April 13, 1963, he married the former Bonnie L. Dorman, who preceded him in death February 7, 1999.
Jim was a 1963 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.
He was employed as a truck driver for many years and most recently as a supervisor at Crest Homes, Milton.
Jim enjoyed spending time with children and raising money for terminally ill children with his fellow members of Lifting Little Lives. He also enjoyed NASCAR and hunting with his friends.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Wendy S. and John E. Dauberman of Lewisburg; and two sons, Scott A. Auman of Northumberland, and Gregory A. Auman of Indiana.
He was preceded in death by one sister and brother-in-law, Florence and Glenn Vonada.
A memorial graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Thursday, at the Forest Hill Cemetery, with Pastor Butch Woolsey, officiating. The Auman family asks that all attending the memorial service to please dress casually.
