Janet E. Botts, 70, Lewisburg

Janet Elizabeth Botts, 70, of 724 Swartz Rd., since 1971, entered into rest at 9:31 p.m., Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born February 8, 1940, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Ralph and Myrtle (Keeler) Courter. On January 12, 1958, in Lewisburg, she married Donald E. Botts, who survives.

Janet was a 1956 graduate of Lewisburg Area High School.

She was employed at the Days Inn, Lewisburg, for over 20 years, until she retired in 2006.

Janet enjoyed going to yard sales and collecting carousels and snow globes. She was a Dallas Cowboys fan.

She could always be seen attending her son's softball games and her grandson's basketball games. Janet was proud of her granddaughter's upcoming graduation of nursing school. Her family was what she lived for, and enjoyed spending as much time with them as she could. Janet was a loving wife and mother, and had enough love to go around as her family grew. She was truly the foundation of her small family.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 52 years, are one son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Kathy Botts of Mifflinburg; one granddaughter, Kristy Botts and her fiance Jerry Starks of Glen Iron; one grandson, Dustin Botts of Mifflinburg; two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Jane Courter, and John and Linda Courter, all of Lewisburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Nancy Hendricks; and niece Julie Hendricks Bachman.

Family and friends are welcome from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m., with Rev. Wayne S. Krell, officiating.

Burial will be in the Mazeppa Union Cemetery.
