Janet Six

Janet E. Six, 73, Lewisburg

Janet Elaine Six, 73, of 573 Hook Lane, since 1993, entered into rest at 7:12 p.m., Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

She was born March 25, 1936, a daughter of the late Clarence John and Evelyn Mae (Wands) Stratton. On April 12, 1957, in Milton, she married David C. Six, who survives.

Janet was a 1954 graduate of Milton High School.

She was a member of the Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church, Milton.

Janet was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter # , Milton.

She enjoyed quilting, bird watching, and painting ceramics. Janet was passionate about sports, especially Milton High School athletics, where her husband coached football for many years. She never missed her husband coaching a game. She loved her grandchildren, and enjoyed traveling and watching them participate in their sporting events.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 52 years, are five children and their spouses, Tamson Six and Jeff Terrell, Melinda and Kevin Maierle, Hunter and Diana Six, Tyson and Mary Jane Six, and Omar and Laura Six; 10 grandchildren, Emmitt and Oliver Terrell, Halston and Jett Maierle, Oak, Peter,Grace, and Kara Six, Matt and Megan Griffin; one sister and brother-in-law, Beth Ann and Claire Hoffer; nieces Jody and Jennifer; and newphews Roderick and William.

A celebration of Janet's life will be conducted at the convenience of the family.
