Janette L. Diehl, 81, of Lewisburg, entered into rest at 2:51 p.m., Tuesday, August 18, 2020, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
She was born May 18, 1939, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late James and Anna (Reamer) Schreck. On October 13, 1956, in West Milton, with Rev. Thomas Musser performing the ceremony, she married Harold L. Diehl, who preceded her in death September 26, 2014.
Janette attended Mifflinburg Area High School.
She was a member of the Delaware Run Wesleyan Church, Watsontown.
She was employed as a clerk at the Weis Markets, Montgomery.
She loved Jesus, her family, and her cat Garfield. She enjoyed butterflies and crocheting.
Surviving are four sons and daughters-in-law, Robert A. and Mary Diehl of Goldon, Mississippi, James H. and Peggy Diehl of New Columbia, Daryl R. and Martha Diehl of Golden, and Gary L. and Linda Diehl of Bastrop, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Terry L. and Tom Weber of New Berlin; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul and Diana Schreck of Lewisburg, Carl and Pauline Schreck of Mifflinburg, and Steve and Maggie Schreck of Florida; one sister and brother-in-law, Deb and Roger Sauers of Mifflinburg; 13 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gerald and Dean Schreck.
A memorial service will be conducted privately.
