Jean M. Aimetti, 82, Mifflinburg

Jean Milroy Aimetti, 82, of 412 Ruhl Lane, and a resident of Tucson, Arizona during the winter months, went to share in the Glory of the Lord, Thursday, August 26, 2010, at her home in Mifflinburg.

She was born March 15, 1928, in Mountain Top, a daughter of the late Lyman D. and Crystal (Kirkhuff) Milroy. On October 3, 1948, at the St. John's Lutheran Church, Lewisburg, she married John H. Aimetti. He preceded her in death February 2007.

Jean was a 1945 graduate of Milton High School.

She was employed at Lewisburg Builders, in bookkeeping, for over 10 years. Jean was also self-employed in accounting and bookkeeping.

Jean was a member of the West End Bible Fellowship, Millmont, and the Vista De Le Montana United Methodist Church, Tucson. She was a Sunday school teacher at the Lincoln Chapel United Methodist Church, Laurelton, for many years, and was active in church prayer groups.

Surviving are six daughters and sons-in-law, Crystal and Gordon Christensen of Yuma, Arizona, Zoe and David Oldt of Mifflinburg, Elizabeth and Ted Williams of Selinsgrove, Jeanie and Rudy Lyons of Weikert, Jo Helen and Michael Gasky of Tuscon, Arizona, and Jacque and David DiPalermo of Tuscon; one brother, Lyman Milroy of South Williamsport; one sister, Shirley Bergen of Lewisburg; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Veryl Milroy.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Jean will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 11, 2010, at the West End Bible Fellowship, 19200 Old Turnpike Rd., Millmont, with Pastor Richard L. DeVett, officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Jean to either the Wycliffe Bible Translators, P.O. Box 628200, Orlando, FL 32862-8200, or the Smile Train, P.O. Box 96231, Washington, DC 20090-6231.

Funeral arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
