Jeffrey L. Shaffer, 53, of Brokaw Drive, Northumberland, formerly of New Berlin, entered into rest at 8:43 a.m., Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born November 27, 1963, in Lewisburg, a son of the late Richard “Dick” C. and Meriam “Mim” A. (Benfer) Shaffer. On April 16, 1988, in Middleburg, he married the former Gladie A. Benfer, who survives.
Jeffrey was a 1982 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.
He was employed at HLA Packaging, Northumberland, as a Supervisor for 28 years. Jeffrey also worked at Greg’s Small Engines, Danville.
Jeffrey enjoyed fishing, hunting, coin collecting, camping, fixing engines, and family get-togethers.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 26 years, are two daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda L. and Jonathan Deivert of Sunbury, and Amber N. and Scott Wintersteen of Northumberland; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard “Rick” C. Shaffer, Jr. and Anne Starr of Selinsgrove, and Timothy S. and Jennifer Shaffer of New Berlin; two grandchildren, Derick Bollinger and J.R. Wintersteen; and nieces and nephew, Lorelei Fuller of California, Max Shaffer of New Berlin, and Ally “Alligator” Shaffer of New Berlin.
Family and friends are welcome from 1 to 2 p.m., Friday, at the Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg, where the funeral will be conducted at 2, with Rev. Ricky Phillips, officiating.
Burial will be in the New Berlin Cemetery.
