Joan K. Peterson

 Joan K. Peterson, 86, formerly of Fords, New Jersey, Ware, Massachusetts, and Mifflinburg, entered into rest at 6:15 a.m., Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Riverwoods, Lewisburg.

She was born December 16, 1938, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, a daughter of the late Robert M. and Grace (Semok) Kovacs. On April 27, 1957, she married Raymond C. Peterson, who survives.

Joan was a graduate of Woodbridge High School, New Jersey, and a graduate with honors from Western New England University, West Springfield, Massachusetts.

She was self-employed in estate planning.

Joan enjoyed sewing and collecting sewing items.

Surviving in addition to her husband of 67 years, are one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Kathleen Kovacs of Millmont; one sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Walter Dworak of Edison, New Jersey; one brother-in-law, Eugene Antol of Mifflinburg; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Antol and Roberta Toth.

Family and friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, January 25, 2025, at Costello-Greiner Funeral Home, 44 Green Street, Woodbridge NJ 07095, where a memorial service will be conducted at 11, with Rev. Freddie Paiva, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Trinity Episcopal Church Cemetery, Woodbridge.
