Joanne "Jo" R. Beatty

Joanne "Jo" R. Beatty, 92, formerly of Lewisburg, and Oxford, Maine, entered into rest at 4:55 a.m., Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland.

Jo was an avid bridge player; lover of wild birds, an amazing mom and Grammy.

She was born December 1, 1930, in Maplewood NJ, a daughter of the late Tyler and Amalia Richards. On September 19, 1953, she married Thomas J. Beatty, who preceded her in death February 18, 2012, after 59 years of marriage.

Surviving are two daughters, Diane Beatty of South Jersey, Sharon Klose and Jeff Newman of Baroda, Michigan and one son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Kathleen Beatty of Wellesley, Massachusetts; four granddaughters, Crystal, Amber, Amelia, and Rachel.

Funeral services will be private.
