Joanne Breneman

Joanne Faye Breneman, 43, of 465 Back Rd., Rebersburg, PA, entered into her Savior’s presence at 2:55 a.m., Sunday, January 27, 2019, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, five days after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke.

She was born July 1, 1975, in Lewisburg, a daughter of Amos L. and Sarah (Stoltzfus) Kauffman. Joanne taught school several years and served seven years with Northern Youth Ministries, in Dryden, Ontario, Canada.   On April 26, 2008, she married Timothy Breneman, a widower with 4 children.

Joanne was an active member of Valley Mennonite Church, Spring Mills, PA.

She is survived by her husband, Timothy, and seven children: Rose married to Joel Kauffman of Rebersburg, Dawn, David, Sharon, Jennifer, Amy, and Michael Breneman; her parents, Amos L. and Sarah Kauffman; five siblings, Christina married to Daniel Weaver, Anita Kauffman, Rhonda Kauffman, Clifford Kauffman married to Elaine (Eby), all of Lewisburg, and Arla married to Jason Rovenolt of Milton, PA and two grandchildren.

Family and friends are welcome to the visitation hours on Thursday, January 31st from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Morning Star Mennonite Church, 1835 Mensch Rd, Mifflinburg.  The funeral will be held at the same location on February 1st at 10 a.m. with a viewing from 9-10 a.m. Ministers officiating are Ivan Beachy, Andrew Freed, Kenneth Freed and Daniel Weaver.

Interment will be at the cemetery adjacent to Valley Mennonite Church, Spring Mills.
