LEWISBURG – John Fredrick “Fred” Fuller, 78, of 199 Melmar Drive, for the past 40 years, entered into rest at 9:05 a.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at his home.
He was born December 26, 1937, in Montgomery Township, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Maxwell and Lucille “Betty” (Sheesley) Fuller. On February 14, 1959, in Cherry Tree, he married the former June E. Beck, who survives.
John was a 1955 graduate of Harmony Joint High School, and graduated from Penn State University in 1961 with a degree in Industrial Arts Education.
He was employed as an Industrial Arts teacher in the Mifflinburg Area School District for 20 years, until he retired in 1975.
John was a member of the Susquehanna Valley Church of Christ, Selinsgrove, where he served as song leader and deacon.
He was a member of the Buffalo Valley Sportsmen’s Club, Mifflinburg.
John enjoyed oil painting, and hunting, and was an avid gunsmith, Penn State fan, and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 57 years, are two sons and daughters-in-law, Jeffrey A. and Kim Fuller of Lincoln Falls, and Chad and Lauren Fuller of State College; two daughters and sons-in-law, Chris L. and Bill Gold of York, and Linda R. and Doug Shutt of Enola; one sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Alex Dudek of Arcadia; 7 grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be conducted privately at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements are by Roupp Funeral Home, Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Rd., Mifflinburg.
