John E. Koch, Sr.

John E. Koch, Sr., 62, of Lewisburg, entered into rest at 8:43 a.m., Saturday, November 25, 2023, at home.

He was born November 4, 1961, in Lewisburg, a son of Anna K. (Burger) Koch Brown and the late Donald A. Koch, Sr.  On August 1, 1981, he married the former Kathy A. DeWire, who survives.

John was a 1979 graduate of Lewisburg High School.

He was employed at Yorktowne, Mifflinburg, for over 40 years.

John enjoyed hunting and going on mountain rides.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 42 years, and mother, are two sons and one daughter-in-law, John Koch, Jr. of Lewisburg, and Aaron Koch and Kira Bordner of Middleburg; three brothers and one sister-in-law, Jim and Deb Koch of Milton, Stan Koch of Virginia, and Dave Koch of Florida; and 5 grandchildren, Owen Koch, Sadie Koch, Greyson Doane, Wyatt Bordner, and Jase Koch.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald Koch, Jr., and Barry Koch; and one granddaughter, Khloe Mae Koch.

Funeral services will be private.
